SENIOR DAIRY MANAGER

Principal Connections has been retained to recruit for the post of Senior Dairy Manager on behalf of a high-profile global consumer goods organisation.

Reporting to the Commercial Director, the Senior Dairy Manager will be responsible for the strategic growth and the development of commercial opportunities for dairy products in the United Kingdom, European and International markets.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop, execute and evaluate the strategic commercial business plan.
  • Manage the implementation of the business strategy for the United Kingdom, European and International markets.
  • Develop business opportunities within these markets, manage key accounts, develop market knowledge and provide strategic insight.
  • Assist in the implementation of business strategy for emerging markets.
  • Build awareness and reputation of the dairy products with relevant emerging markets businesses.
  • Assist in new product development opportunities to maximise client requirements.
  • Identify and develop new opportunities as well as the ability to give experienced direction to deliver on key strategic and commercial objectives.
  • The Senior Business Development Manager will be responsible for empowering and developing the inherent experience that exists within the division and operate as a key member of an ambitious marketing and commercial development team.
  • Present key business information to the senior management team in relation to financial, sales, margin analysis and market and competitor analysis.
  • Travel to United Kingdom, European and International markets as required.

REQUIREMENTS

Suitably qualified and interested candidates will have seven to ten years’ experience operating in a Dairy role. Candidates will have an excellent technical knowledge of dairy, fat filled powders and milk derivatives. S/he will be educated to Degree level in Business, Marketing, International Marketing or Food Technology discipline. In addition, candidates will be able to communicate effectively with senior management and have strong stakeholder management and relationship management skills. The Senior Business Development Manager will be a result’s orientated individual who possesses excellent marketing and international commercial.

DEPUTY GROUP CAPITAL PROJECTS MANAGER

THE POSITION

Reporting to the Group Capital Project Manager, the Deputy will be responsible for ensuring that all Capital Projects and Refurbishments within Bon Secours Health System are completed within agreed Time, Cost and Quality parameters in conjunction with all key stakeholders from concept to close-out stage. The appointee will collaborate with and support Group Executive Management / Individual Hospital Management Teams in the development of plans and options to support new business opportunities and expansion plans for the Health System

REQUIREMENTS

Suitably qualified and interested candidates will have significant capital project management experience at an appropriate level of seniority within a healthcare or other relevant environment. Core competencies required will include: leadership, strategic, technical nous, communication & relationship building, adaptability & flexibility, organisation, innovation and results orientation. A commitment to the mission, vision and values of BSHS will be essential. Engineering / Project Management Degree or similar will be essential.

NON-EXECUTIVE CHAIRMAN

Principal Connections has been retained to recruit for the key post of Non-Executive Chairman on behalf of the Board of a highly successful international e-commerce company with offices in Ireland.

THE POSITION

The Non-Executive Chairman will provide leadership and ensure the decision-making processes of the board are effective and that the board challenges sufficiently and effectively proposals that are put forward by the senior corporate officers of the company. S/he will set the agenda for the board’s deliberations with focus on strategy, performance, accountability and the creation of value for shareholders. CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

Gasóga na hÉireann / Scouting Ireland is a voluntary non formal educational movement with over 50,000 youth and adult members across the island of Ireland. The Aim of Scouting Ireland is to encourage the Social, Physical, Intellectual, Character, Emotional and Spiritual development of young people so that they may achieve their full potential and, as responsible citizens, to improve society.

The current Chief Executive Officer of Scouting Ireland is due to retire at the end of February 2020 and the Board of Directors wish to appoint a new Chief Executive.

THE POSITION

Reporting to the non-executive Chairperson and the voluntary Board of Directors, the Chief Executive Officer is the senior executive with overall responsibility for the direction, management and administration of the organisation, ensuring the provision of high-quality services to young people.

The Chief Executive leads the senior management team which includes: operations, finance, support services, programmes and the national scout centres. There are 35 employees in total and an annual budget allocation of approximately €4.3 million. The Chief Executive will also be required to represent the organisation publicly and develop and maintain strong positive relationships with members, the board, senior management, professional staff and volunteers as well as relevant government departments and other statutory agencies, representing the interests of young people and their families.

REQUIREMENTS

Suitably qualified and interested candidates will have significant experience at senior management level with responsibility for quality service provision, staff and operational budgets. Core competencies required will include: leadership, strategic vision, financial, commercial and legal acumen, change management, communication/representation, organisation, relationship building and results orientation. A commitment to the mission, vision and values of Scouting Ireland will be essential.
