Established in 1917, Leopardstown Park Hospital, located in the picturesque suburb of FoxrHR Manager, Leopardstown Park Hospitalock in South County Dublin has a unique heritage with a proud tradition of caring for ex-service personnel. Today the hospital retains its service personnel links and also meets the specialist older persons' needs of the general public. We are committed to the delivery of the highest standard of care and to supporting the development of our employees.

With 100+ inpatient beds and 300 day care clients per week, the hospital is a public voluntary hospital run by the Leopardstown Park Hospital Board and subject to regulation by HIQA. It provides specialist older persons' services in the areas of rehabilitation, respite, day services and residential care.

THE POSITION

As Human Resources Manager, you will report directly to the Chief Executive Officer as an important member of the Senior Management Team. This is a key senior management post with responsibility and accountability for the operational provision of an effective and efficient human resources service and the strategic development of this service to meet changing organisational needs.

The Human Resources Manager will be responsible for ensuring that the hospital has in place the necessary policies, procedures and progressive human resource systems, processes and structures to ensure that the hospital's most important asset, its staff, are effectively recruited, developed, retained and that harmonious employee relations are fostered, developed and maintained.

The successful candidate will provide expert advice to the Chief Executive and/or Board and Heads of Departments on key human resource management issues and put in place appropriate strategies and systems to underpin an effective, progressive, flexible human resource management philosophy and practice.

REQUIREMENTS

Degree qualified, candidates will have several years' experience working in human resources along with exposure to learning and development activities. The successful candidate will have a track record of building and maintaining positive and effective working relationships, resolving conflict and come with industrial and employee relations experience.
