Overview

Reporting to the Hospital Manager, the Human Resources Manager will lead and manage the human resources function of the Bon Secours Hospital Dublin having regard to the new People Strategy and Human Resources Operating model. As a member of the Hospital Management Team the Human Resources Manager will participate in the development and delivery of the hospital’s strategic goals and objectives and will play a lead role in aligning a diverse range of employees and skills with the evolving needs of the Hospital.

The appointee will work with hospital management colleagues across all departments to support all key functions of the organisation at both an operational and strategic level. Coverage will include but not necessarily be limited to: innovative approaches to workforce planning, talent acquisition and management, performance management, employee relations and engagement, policy implementation, learning & organisational development, change management, compliance with legislation and occupational health and human resources administration.

The Human Resources Manager, working in conjunction with the Hospital Management Team, the Group Human Resources Function and other human resources across the Bon Secours Health System, will play a key role in shaping, influencing and implementing the future direction of human resources that will drive an employer of choice agenda.

It is expected that applicants will have broad human resources experience at a sufficiently senior level of standing. Experience within a healthcare setting would be advantageous. In addition, applicants must have solid experience of implementing change management initiatives, performance management and employment law and employee relations in Ireland. Excellent interpersonal skills, energy, enthusiasm, problem solving capability in addition to the capacity to generate new ideas and manage sensitive situations are key requirements of the role.
